There is an initial visit to the Phoenix Park to find out where the show garden will be this year. For Bloom 2008, the show gardens are outside the walled garden.

Construction of the garden begins with placement of the D-Rail fence boundary.  This will all have to be varnished later.  Once the boundary fence has been completed, the digging starts for the rills and the plant beds.  The metal rills are then put in place and construction on the slate seat begins.  The first stage of construction is finished when the sandstone cobble surrounding the L shaped seat is in place.
