The client brief was to include a seating area in the lower area of the garden, to include a pathway that would lead from the house to this patio area and to incorporate space for a compost bin and storage.

The garden was in two levels before a design was implemented. A decked surface was placed immediately outside the house, and this led onto an irregular shaped area on a higher level.

The shape of the garden was long and narrow so the design brief was to encourage visitors to move down the garden and explore.

The client brief for this rear garden was to create a design that would complement the new extension to the house.

A garden created to compliment an interior redecoration. The paved areas in the design allow the client to follow the movement of the sun, so there is always a sunny spot to sit in.

The design of this rear garden ensures adequate space for both entertaining and leisure. A number of textured materials were used, such as sandstone, gravel, wood and drystone to create visual interest but yet unify the garden.
