The client brief was to include a seating area in the lower area of the garden, to include a pathway that would lead from the house to this patio area and to incorporate space for a compost bin and storage.

The garden was in two levels before a design was implemented. A decked surface was placed immediately outside the house, and this led onto an irregular shaped area on a higher level.

A garden created to compliment an interior redecoration. The paved areas in the design allow the client to follow the movement of the sun, so there is always a sunny spot to sit in.

The design of this rear garden ensures adequate space for both entertaining and leisure. A number of textured materials were used, such as sandstone, gravel, wood and drystone to create visual interest but yet unify the garden.
